The Community Compost Pickup Point Program
by GoZERO
Finding locally sourced, nutrient-rich compost made from food scraps can be challenging. Figuring out ways to make it accessible can also be difficult. That's why GoZERO is partnering with local community organizations to establish community compost consignment pickup points, “pickup points” for short.
Order online or in person with a pickup point near you, and GoZERO will coordinate delivery of your order. A portion of the proceeds will go to the pickup point host for helping to bring this resource to your community.
If you choose bagged compost, it can be picked up at your selected pickup point. If you choose bulk compost, GoZERO will arrange a delivery directly to you.
Also, for Spring 2026, GoZERO is once again offering its annual spring compost sales program, the fourth annual “Tour de Compost.” Use discount code SPR26 when ordering to receive a 20% discount, and plan to pick up your bagged compost the last week of April as part of this spring celebration.
Order your 1/8 cu ft. (~5lb.) or 3/4 cu ft. (~25 lb.) bags today! Pick up at a location, date, and time convenient to you.
What nutrients should you expect in your compost?
Compost is technically a soil amendment, NOT a fertilizer. In some applications, such as erosion control or runoff mitigation, it's used to retain nutrients. For this reason, compost is typically used for its soil and plant health benefits rather than for its nutrient content alone. However, the good news is that compost nutrients are organically bound and readily available to growing plants and to depleted soil. Andre Farms Compost is made from a proprietary blend of compostable food, yard, and animal waste byproducts.
Learn about hosting a pickup point.
GoZERO is primarily looking for local brick and mortar venues that would like to host a pickup point and provide community access to locally produced compost during regular business hours. GoZERO can provide collateral and systems to manage the program.

How Pickup Points Work
GoZERO loves working with food scrap composting disposal customers and champions establishing year-round pickup points. And, there are cases where a spring-only pickup or even an event-based pickup works best.
Year-Round Pickup Points – are locations where a community organization hosts a table-tent flyer, and trifold brochures at their publicly accessible reception area in order to raise awareness of the program and invite visitors to participate by placing an order with them.
Spring-Only Pickup Points – are locations where the pickup point program is made available only in conjunction with GoZERO’s Annual “Tour de Compost” Spring Compost Sale Promotion, and visitors are invited to participate by placing an order with them for pickup the last week of April.
Event-Based Pickup Points – are events (usually Earth Day events) where bags of compost are made available for pickup via preordering online. Usually, a limited number of bags are available for walk-up purchase, but preordering is strongly encouraged.
GoZERO’s Annual “Tour de Compost” Spring Compost Sale Promotion – is GoZERO’s annual way of saying thank you to the communities it serves by discounting food scrap-based compost for batch delivery the last week of April (27th-1st) in celebration of Earth Day and Composting Awareness Week (the first whole week of May) in partnership with year-round, spring-only, and event-based pickup point.
The seasonal program timeline is – per-ordering opens in February, per-ordering closes April 1, and compost is delivered and ready for pickup the last week of April or at associated event-based pickup points.
